Weekend #1 Saturday

As previously mentioned, i was going to keep a tally of my weekend bets and winnings/losses. Ill be happy if i make £30 this week as I didnt place any on friday as i was busy busy but £30 is more then acheivable. I will post some screenshots to show you how much i bet, which bookmakers i used and the outcome with the end profit/loss.

As this is my first record i will give you a little walkthrough so you can get to grasps with what im doing.

My first bet has still not been settled so when i see the outcome you will also.

If youve seen my other page relating to Arbitrage betting then this is what youd expect once you open a bet up in the window. I will add into detail what it means when i get the time.

Bet 1

From here i then went onto Betfair and Stanjames website, finding the same Event and Placed £80 on the Horse you see on the left hand side. As seen below

Once i placed that bet i then placed the 'Lay' bet, As seen in the bottom hand side it gives me the amount i should Lay to win the relevant amount of money. As i said earlier on, please check the Arbitrage part and i will explain this in the next few days. Seen below is the 'Lay' bet i placed which this software told me to.

The event has finaly ended, Below shows i won £88.85 from that event, However i put the 80 pound bet on stanjames so all in all i made a £8.85 profit. Not bad for 2 minutes of work!

Bet 2

This one was at first only meant to be one bet, However once i Bet and Layed the horse the Lay odds kept dropping while the back odds stayed the same. So i found 3 sites which odds where in my favour and bet.

This was the 100 pound i bet on one bookie site.

This shows another 100 i bet on another site, This also has the winnings in.

This time i bet 20 pound on the same horse as above, Also shows  outcome.

So the aim on this was that i Bet the horse at high odds and layed at low odds so i could make as much profit as possible. I used the software and selected to underlay the bet. If you look at Bet 1 you will see the Arbitrage screen, Showing you the overland and underlay odds. Depending on what the odds are, choosing to overlay may be better then underlay. This case it was more beneficial to underlay.

The lay bet lost, loosing me(shown below)

If you dont understand that screen i suggest reading betfair's guide, its so simple to get to grasps with.

As you see above i lost £362. If you offset it with the incomings below that i got off underlayin, then you will be pleasently suprised with the profits i gained in what... 10 minutes of work?

So lets do the calculations. £57.50 + £287.50 + £275 = £620.
Then minus the original bets, Which would be £620 - £100 - £100 - £20 = £400
We then subtract our Losses which were £362, so £400 - £362 = £38 profit. Not a bad little profit for so little time.

Bet 3

This bet is for a £40 stake.

Showing my lay bet, The odds were in favour of overlaying this race so thats what i done.

And here is the end result, another £7.60 profit.

After setting my self a £30 target i have made that in the first full day of my weekend, Racking in a profit of £54.45. Not bad at all, There was plenty of other opportunitys to make more money but only been at the computer every so often i only managed to place 3.
